Making Dreams Come True

You look at your life and see dreams that you want to see happen.  It could be professionally, personally, spiritually, but the fact is that you have dreams you want to see happen in your life.  This motivates you to keep at your daily tasks, just hoping and praying that those dreams one day will become a reality.

To fulfill those dreams, you have to put some work into it.  Those dreams will not just materialize.  Without some diligent work and dedication, dreams remain dreams.  It is when daily activity in pursuing those dreams is done, that progress is made for them to become a reality.

Dwight Morrow once wrote to his son, “The world is divided into people who do things and people who get the credit.  Try if you can to belong to the first class.  There’s far less competition.”  That is some sound advice in you striving for your goals.  Be a doer, not a credit taker.

Paul talks about his dream in his spiritual life.  Paul worked long and hard to spread the gospel both to the Israelites and to the gentiles.  At the end of his life, he shares how he views the dream he had for his life: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness’ (2 Timothy 4:7-8).  Paul received the dream he had for his life.  Nowhere in Scripture do you ever see Paul as one who wanted to get the credit.  His dream was to tell everyone about Jesus and bring them to salvation.

So, how do you make your dreams come true?  Not by sitting around and figuring out how you can look good to those around you.  It is done by doing the right thing to do toward you receiving your dream, regardless of who gets the credit.  Go out there and make your dreams come true!
