Truth or Consequences

You like to think that you make good decisions.  For the most part, that is probably a true statement.  As you grow older, you soon realize that the decisions you make have certain consequences that you have to live with.  In scientific terms – for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.  You do not live in a bubble, where nothing affects you.  The life you lead is the result of what you do.

Lady Astor of England and Winston Churchill were bitter enemies.  Their hatred for one another ran deep and was evident to everyone around them.  Lady Astor looked Churchill dead in the eye, and said to him in a vicious voice, “You’re drunk!”  Churchill said to her, “You are ugly!”  Then in the same breath, he sharply said, “But tomorrow, I’ll be sober.”  😆😆  Although, the remark is sarcastic, it does make you smile.

The Scriptures talk much about truth.  Churchill used sarcasm to make his point, but when the Holy Bible discusses truth, it does not joke around.  In discussing truth, you must consider the MOST important verse in all the Holy Bible in regards to truth.  This verse hinges on a decision that every person on earth places their eternal destiny.  Will you spend forever and forever in absolute love, joy, peace, beautiful surroundings and a “dwelling place” designed just for you, or will you spend forever and forever one day in agonizing pain, engulfed in fire, and living a life of hell?  The apostle John records Jesus’ words, just after the disciples were told by Jesus that he would depart and leave His disciples, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me” (Jn. 3:6).  Jesus being “the truth” means that He does not lie and everything He says is exactly 100% true.  He follows this by saying that no one, absolutely no one, can get to go to heaven unless He comes to Jesus for salvation.  That is what is meant by “through Me.”  Jesus, also, makes it clear that there is no exception to getting into heaven – “no one comes.”
The decision is yours.  Either come to Jesus on Jesus’ terms and live in ecstasy and joy, or either go to a fiery hell.  Right now, you make one of these decisions.  By putting off the decision and by not making the decision, you make the decision of eternal torment.

It is time to either accept the truth that the ONLY way to get to heavenly bliss is by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior, or to suffer the consequences by doing nothing and spend time everlasting life in a fiery hell.  It is time for truth or consequences.  Act NOW!
