Your Wonder Woman

There is one woman in your life that amazes you far beyond all other women you have ever known.  She has influenced you far beyond your wildest imagination.  Her imprint upon your life goes deep, even making you the person you are today.  Who is this Wonder Woman?  She is none other than your mother.

Your mother is/was your greatest fan.  She is/was in your corner when all the world forsook you.  Her influence made you who you are today.  Ask any florist and he/she will tell you that one of the best-selling days for flowers is Mother’s Day.  Abraham Lincoln tells it like it is when talking about motherhood, “No man is poor who has a godly mother.”  Amen!  A godly mother’s influence upon your life makes all the difference in your life.

Proverbs 31 says a lot about the godly woman, but it also refers to the godly mother.  “She rises also while it is still night and gives food to her household and portions to her maidens” (v.15).  Mothers are just like that.  They rise early before the rest of the family.  Why?  To make meals, have devotion time with her Lord, or whatever she needs to do “before” the family arises.  A mother puts her family before her personal needs.  “She looks well to the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness” (v.27).  A mother makes sure the needs of her household are taken care of.

Let your mother know that she is your Wonder Woman, and if she is no longer on earth thank the Lord for giving her to you.  If you are a mother, just know all the hard work you do or have done is appreciated by your children and noticed by your Heavenly Father.
