How To Succeed

You want to be a success in your life pursuits.  You want your occupation to be successful.  You want your spiritual life to be successful.  If married, you want to succeed there.  In fact, anything you are involved in this life you want to be a success.

Success is a hot topic in the society in which you live.  Just look at the number of books written yearly about success.  Seminars promoting keys to success hardly have an empty seat.  Everywhere you turn there is an abundance of information soliciting your involvement.

There are numerous steps needed to make yourself successful.  One basic ingredient that seems to rise to the top, no matter what area you want to succeed in, seems to start with your attitude.  If this ingredient is not present, then no matter what else you do, you will not be successful.
It makes a huge difference in your life, whether you accomplish great things or not, by the attitude that you have.  Clement Stone says it this way, “There is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a great difference.  The little difference is attitude.  The big difference is whether it is positive or negative.”  This boils down to your attitude.

The Holy Bible says this about attitude: “For as he thinks within himself, so he is” (Proverbs 23:7).  The image you have of yourself, dictates not only how you view yourself, but also determines what you will accomplish in your life.

There is a lot of positive thinking philosophy promoted by numerous people, including a few from the Christianity camp.  This is secular philosophy.  Learn to adjust your attitude by memorizing Scripture and meditating upon it in your hour of need.

Don’t focus on being a success, but focus on living your life obedient to the Lord and leave your success in His hands.  By the way, He is much more capable of giving you success, than you can get by striving for it in the flesh.
