Out Of The Frying Pan, Into The Fire

You are faced with many situations on a daily basis.  Some are easily solved and cause little or no stress in your life.  Others, seem so daunting that they seem to have no viable solution.  The fact is, those life experiences linger with no solution, causing you to feel overwhelmed and hopeless.

My mentor, Chuck Swindoll, in discussing those impossibilities you face in life, has this to say, “We are faced with great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations.”  That, probably, requires you to view life from a different perspective, than you are now presently doing.  Behind every impossible situation is an opportunity for you to either do or learn something.  The old saying, “Every dark cloud has a silver lining” is so true.  You need to realize that God is at work in you, and something huge is about to happen.

Scripture re-affirms that ideology.  When describing your conduct on a daily basis the Word of God says, “…making the most of the opportunity” (Col. 4:5).  You have to make numerous decisions on a daily basis.  Often times, the decision laid before you seems extremely daunting.  Every now and then, the answer to the decision you have to make has no logical answer.  That is alright.  God specializes in impossible situations!  When He forces you to come to the end of your rope and give up, then He steps in with an “out of the park” miracle to answer your dilemma.

Sometimes you do wind up jumping out of the frying pan into the fire.  But it need not be that way.  When the heat turns up in your life, just recognize that God is waiting for you to turn and follow His guidance.  At that point, the impossible situation is turned into a greater opportunity for God to act and show His glory.  Now, when you live this way, life just doesn’t seem so stressful.
