You are more than a week into this 2025 New Year. How is it going? Are you making headway into it being one of your best years in your service to Christ? If you are doing well, congratulations. If not, now is a good time to get back on track to make 2025 your best year yet.
A good place to begin is in your growth of biblical truth. Find a good Bible teacher and make yourself a conscientious student of them. Learn great Scripture truths. Become a more mature Christian. As you learn truth do not keep it to yourself. Find some way to share what you are learning with others. If all else fails, make a short Facebook post of those nuggets of truth you are learning.
Just know that learning truths about the Word of God gives you something worthwhile to say. One unknown person once said: “advice is one commodity in which supply always runs ahead of demand.” This is true of worldly advice but not of scriptural nuggets.
Jesus Christ told a parable to the crowd following Him in which His disciples heard what He said, too. In discussing the meaning of the parable, Jesus says that the soils represent people hearing the word of God. He gives several examples of those who hear what is spoken but for one reason or another do nothing with it. Then Jesus says this: “And those are the ones on whom seed was sown on the good soil; and they hear the word and accept it, and bear fruit, thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold” (Mark 4:20; NASV). It begins with hearing and accepting the truth of God. Then it follows that you bear fruit.
Fruitful living. Is available to everyone. You have fruitful living by hearing the word of God and accepting it as truth, then putting it into daily practice. Do so today!
