We all like it when we get paid. We work hard and get rewarded for our hard work. We take what we earn to purchase the things we desire. It is even a much, much better day when, after that hard work, we not only get what we expected, but get a huge bonus.
We all know that very well. What we might not know, though is that at the resurrection, all of that takes on a whole new meaning. In a wealthy resurrection section of Richmond, Virginia, some new owners complained that the singing of a small Christian Church nearby disturbed them. A petition to be presented to the city council was generated. The solicitors brought it for signing to a Jewish resident. He read it and said, “Gentlemen, I cannot sign it. If I believe as those in that Christian Church that my Messiah had come, I would shout it from the housetops and on every street in Richmond, VA and nobody could stop me!” There are words of wisdom here, well spoken by that Jew.”
That Jew spoke prophetic words of wisdom. The resurrection of Christ offers a motherload of riches. The reward of your faithful service to Christ, results in riches beyond measure. The Holy Bible is very clear on this matter. “and you will be blessed since they do not have the means to repay you for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.” The last words of the Holy Bible spoken here are so relevant to us today. The words I am speaking of are your riches “will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.” And who are the righteous? Those who have accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior.
I want you to have as many riches as possible. To have those riches, you must have accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior. Do so today! Then enjoy huge heavenly riches!
