Taking Care Of Business

Your day is jam packed with one activity after another.  No sooner do you complete one task, until another one raises its ugly head.  No matter what day of the week it may be, running here and there is the story of your life.

This is all well and done, until all of a sudden the bottom falls out of your life.  At that moment all your energy is focused in handling that life situation.  If that is not bad enough, those stressful times seem to come one after the other.  And then, there are those dreaded times that occur all too frequently, that seem to be just impossible times in your life.  Charles Swindoll addressed those times, when he said, “We are faced with great opportunities brilliantly described as impossible situations.”  The next time an impossible situation arises in your life, change your focus.  Do not look at it as an impossible situation, but look at it as a great opportunity for God to do what He does best; let God solve the situation.

Jesus preached a great sermon, that is called “The Sermon on the Mount.”  Within that gem of a sermon, Jesus talks about those impossible situations you face from time to time.  He said, “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself.  Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34).  You get into trouble, when you mull over in your mind the stressful events that will impact your future.  This can be tomorrow or some other futuristic time.  Jesus says, “Stop it!  Do not try to solve life’s impossible problems in the future.  Just live for today.”

Life is full of activities where you have to take care of that business.  Your life has more stressful events than you would like.  Put Charles Swindoll’s advice into practice; let God make a great opportunity out of it!
