It is easy to go through life and find faults with those around you. Looking from the outside, the sins of others are very clear. Others sins seem so obvious to you. Their sins are so quickly identifiable,
Sins are like car lights. The other fellows are always more glaring than our own. You can sit back from the outside and look inside someone else’s life and point out their sins. When it comes to seeing your sins, that is another story. You do not see your sins, and when you do see your sins, you minimize their severity.
The Holy Bible discusses the sins you have in your life and how to eliminate them. “For the wages of sins is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23). If you go through life without a personal relationship with Christ, this verse says the penalty for that is death. Not a physical death, but a spiritual death. To have a spiritual life, it is gained by having a personal relationship with Christ. The Good News is that it occurs without you doing anything. It is not gained by giving a certain amount of money. Or doing some huge good deed. Or making sure your good deeds out number you bad deeds on earth. It is a “free gift of God.”
To live forever in heaven does require you to something, though. It requires that you take a deep look inside yourself. You must see that you are a sinner. All is needed is that you ask the Lord God to come into your life and forgive you of your sins. That heavenly reward is just a request away.
Take a look within. See that you are set for an eternal punishment without Christ. Then accept Christ’s free gift of salvation. Do so right now!
