Listen To Christ

For most of your daily activities you probably just go from one to another.  You have one task to do then you go to the next.  There is no thought of alternatives.  Just going through the motion from this activity to the next.

God yearns to talk to you.  He created you for fellowship with Him.  God sent Christ to earth to gain that intimate relationship with you.  Christ sits on the right-hand of the Father to intercede for you.  As you pray Christ is right there communing to the Father on your behalf.

You must seek Christ to find out the most profitable activity you have in a certain moment.  An unknown source has said: “When I try, I fail.  When I trust, God succeeds.”  You fail so often for the mere reason that you try to do it all on your own.  You have a good idea so you pursue it.  You are short on time.  You have no time to pray.  So, you press on.  All that effort results in failing to do what you desire.  You must trust Christ to succeed.  Prayer is needed.  Prayer is essential!

The Lord will tell you exactly what you need to do.  All it takes is for you to take the time to listen.  Christ does not tell you what you need to do and then leave you in the lurch if you do not do it.  He continues to tell you.  This is seen in the life of Samuel.  The Lord talks to him twice.  Samuel takes action but does not fully hear what the Lord wants him to hear.  Then He calls him a third time.  “So the Lord called Samuel again for the third time.  And he arose and went to Eli and said, ‘Here I am, for you called me.’  Then Eli discerned that the Lord was calling the boy” (1 Samuel 3:8; NASV).  The Lord called and Samuel listened.

Christ desires to hear from you.  He is calling you to tell you what He wants.  Take time and listen to Christ!
