As you read that title you say to yourself that a brighter day is as far from your life as swamp land can be found in Texas. It seems like some dream. It seems unreachable, no matter how hard you may try to get it.
Life can definitely be tough at times. That is okay now and then. It is when life seems to dish out one trying day after another that it takes a toll on you. About the time you get over one difficult time, another one is right around the corner.
An unknown writer has some encouraging words for you. These are not some pie in the sky dream seeker philosophical words. These words are true so much of the time. He said: “success is often closest when discouragement is greatest.” Wow! Let those words sink in! Those may be the exact words you need to hear. Or, you may not need to hear those refreshing words right now but pay close attention because you may need them in the future. You may need them sooner than you think.
Surprisingly, the Bible supports such a view of life. “For His anger is but for a moment. His favor is for a lifetime; weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning” (Psalm 30:5; NASV). God’s anger toward you is often felt in life situations. That anger only occurs for a short period of time. God shines “favor” and good times in your life for long time. Making His point clear, God tells you in that verse that all night long you may experience heartache. You shut your eyes. it seems for a moment and all of a sudden it is morning. As you awake you are filled with “joy.”
Know for a fact that Christ will fill you with His love and joy. It can happen in just the blink of an eye!
