This Wednesday is New Year’s Day. What a glorious day that is. You welcome in a whole new year. The past year is past and gone. You have a whole new year to welcome all the good things it can bring.
In 2024 it may have been a less than stellar year for you. Life may have been rough for you. There may have been a lot of heart aches and disappointments. You may look back at 2024 and say, “Good bye and good riddance!”
For others 2024 may have an exciting year. Looking back at 2024 brings with it smiles and happiness. Things could not have been better for you.
You need to remember that regardless of the kind of year 2024 was to you, it is gone. Now look forward to this next year, 2025. I know not what awaits me, as dawn another year; the path untrod I cannot see, yet knows my heart no fear! I know not whether long or short, my pilgrimage may be – but I’ll daily praise my God in song, for all His love for me. With joy I greet the year – it cannot bring me ill, since Christ my Savior is ever near, my soul with peace to fill! What a wonderful way to anticipate this new year of 2025.
One thing for certain about 2025 is that it is the beginning of something new. It gives you a fresh perspective of days full of opportunities to make a difference for Christ. Let Him be glorified in each and every day. Scripture tells you to anticipate a freshness of every day in this new year: “And He who sits on the throne said, ‘Behold, I am making all things new’” (Revelation 21:5; NASV. Christ is creating something new each and every day of your 2025.
