No Place Like Home

Think back for a minute or two about your home life.  You may have been fortunate, like I was, to have been raised in a good family.  Home was a place where you could be yourself.  You knew you were loved and appreciated there.  It was a secure place for you.

Or, you may think back to your home as a child and find it was not the best place in the world.  Being at home was a lonely, and possibly, a frightening place.  You did not look forward to going home.  Just know that you are in Christ’s family, now.  You are in a place of love and security.  The family of God, those who believe in Jesus, is a secure family for all those who believe in Him.

Thus, every child of God has a home that is full of love, forgiveness, and total acceptance, just to name a few.  You can kick back, throw those shoes off and totally enjoy being at home.  A young doctor, his wife, and three children couldn’t find a house to live in, so they had to stay in a hotel.  A friend said to the six-year-old girl, “Too bad you have no home.”  “Oh, yes we have a home,” she replied promptly, “but no house to put it in.”  That is one sharp little girl.  Your home is not based on having some great house to live in.  Your home is based on those who are in your family.

God cares for you and wants you to know that you have a home with Him, regardless of where your dwelling may be.  “God makes a home for the lonely” (Psalm 68:6).  This verse states that everyone has a home, as they live in His fullness.  Even the lonely has a home with the Lord.

There is no place like home for those who are believing in Jesus.  Those unbelieving, have no home with Him.  Accept Christ today!  Enjoy His home!
