To Believe, Or Not To Believe

You must answer the question as to whether or not you believe in God.  And to be specific, the real question is whether you believe in Christ or not?  Do you think Christ actually walked on earth?  If so, what do you believe about Him?  Is He just a good teacher?  Or, is He who He claims to be – God in flesh?  All of this matters immensely, since it impacts where you spend eternity.

British statesman, W. E. Gladstone (1809-1898), visited Christ Church College and spoke optimistically about the betterment of English society during his lifetime.  His outlook was so positive that a student challenged him, “Sir, are there no adverse signs?”  Gladstone reflected, “Yes, there is one thing that frightens me – the fear that God seems to be dying out of the minds of men.”  There is a tendency for some today to not think much about spiritual things.  In their not thinking about them, soon afterwards the doubt as the existence of God becomes their reality.

The Holy Bible talks about Christ, God in the flesh, walking among men.  His life was to show us how to live here on planet earth.  Christ’s ultimate purpose for coming to earth is spelled out very clearly in Scripture: “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10; NASV).  Christ loves you so much that He seeks you out.  He does not wait for you to come to Him.  He puts forth the effort to come to you.  And His purpose?  It is to save you.  Christ wants every living person to live with Him in heaven.  Thus, He seeks you with the purpose of saving you from eternal punishment.  Christ wants you to live with Him in heaven.

It is your choice.  Do you believe, or not believe?  Christ is the Savior of the world.  Accept His salvation today!
