After entering the kingdom of God, you get a desire to accomplish a lot for Christ. Even after you have known the Lord for some time, the thought of being used greatly by Him tugs at your thoughts. You want your life on earth to count. As heaven draws near, your heavenly achievements become a greater concern of yours.
How can you live a life that is filled with eternal riches? One thing you can do is to do something, even if it seems like a small thing to you. “Look at a day when you are supremely satisfied at the end. It is not a day when you lounge around doing nothing. It’s when you have had everything to do, and you’ve done it” (Margaret Thatcher). To begin with, to get a lot done requires getting busy and working hard every day.
Scripture talks about accomplishing great things for the kingdom of God. “So shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth. It shall not return to me void. But it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper for the thing in which I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11; NKJV). Apply Scripture to every area of your life. Living the Word of God brings about what glorifies Christ. Thus, you need to either have the Word with you, or have it memorized, to put it into daily practice.
Accomplishing much for Christ is not some mirage or illusion. It can be done. Just look at every situation you daily face through the lens of Scripture. Put Scripture into daily practice. It is then that God will use it to bring about the purpose(s) that He wants in your life.
So, to accomplish much, you have to get to work and actually do much. Scripture is powerful. Be mindful to put it into daily practice. Watch how much you accomplish!
