You have a lot on your plate. There are so many things that yearn for your attention. You have all the demands of work. Your children have needs only you can fulfill. Your spouse needs some of your time. If all that was not enough, you feel you must relax to keep from going crazy.
There are so many demands that each require some of your time. How are you to do all of them? How can you meet so many activities needed to be done in your life.? Lorne Sanny of the Navigators said his father told him all the instruction to Lorne could be summarized in four words: “Get with it, Son.” First, know what needs to be done. Then get about the task of doing it. Practicing that mentality yields huge dividends.
God Almighty wanted to know whom He could send to do the work He needed to be done on earth. One individual spoke up and volunteered. Look how that transpired: “And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go with Us?’ Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me” (Isaiah 6:8; NKJV). Those are the words of Isaiah the prophet. In essence, Isaiah said he was willing to do the work that the Lord told him to do. So many times, all that is needed to get the job done, is just to jump in and start doing the task. You will be amazed how soon the job will be done.
Too many times the work at hand does not get done, all because you did not start it. So, lesson learned, here is when you want to do something; put your shoulder to the task and go get it done.
Let that little saying – go, get it done – linger in your mind as you go through out your day. You will be amazed by how much you accomplish in a day by doing so. Yes, go get it done!
