Spiritual Power

You want to live a life that is well pleasing to Christ.  You make it a habit to attend church regularly, and say the blessing before every meal.  You want so desperately for Christ to be a part of every moment of your day.

Often times you want to pray to the Lord Christ about some issue, but you feel so unworthy.  You feel like you do not deserve for Christ to answer your prayers.  You think He has so many other more important things to do than answer your prayers.

Or, you know you should pray more, but life and ministry are so time consuming.  After all, if you do not do it, it will not get done.  The needs are so great.  The to-do-list seems to grow longer each day.

Maybe, you need to re-think your priorities.  Prayer is essential to you accomplishing what needs to be done during your day.  Satan is not afraid of you doing a lot of things.  What he is afraid of, is you saturating your life with prayer.  Even at your weakest point as a Christian, your prayer life is feared by Satan.  William Cowper said it well, when he stated: “Satan trembles when he sees the weakest saint upon his knees.”  Every Christian has power in prayer.

The Word of God tells you to be a person of prayer: “praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints” (Ephesians 6:18, NKJV).  Notice, a few key words you are to do in your prayers.  You are to pray “always” and “with all perseverance.”

That verse challenges you to get serious about your prayer life.  Do you want spiritual power in your life?  It is found in the life of a Christian who takes prayer seriously.  That means practicing prayer, not just talking about it!
