You are doing well. You are staying consistent in your weekly church attendance; you are better at daily reading the Word of God, even putting your Christianity into daily practice.
“One of the highest of human duties is the duty of encouragement… It is easy to laugh at men’s ideals; it is easy to pour water on their enthusiasm; it is easy to discourage others. The world is full of discouragers. We have a Christian duty to encourage one another. Many a time a word of praise or thanks or appreciation or cheer has kept a man on his feet. Blessed is such a man who speaks such a word” (William Barclay). Yes, the right word at the right time can make all the difference in the world to someone in your life.
I know. You are saying that you are a person who is an encourager. Praise the Lord for people like you! This message today is not to those who do not uplift those around them. I am grateful for your well-spoken nuggets that mean so much to those who receive them.
One Scripture, that says it loud and clear for you to be an encourager, is in 1 Thessalonians 5:11, “Therefore, encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.” Look at the end of the verse. It says you are doing this right now. What are you doing? You are speaking words of encouragement to help others be lifted from discouragement to being encouraged.
You are doing well in the encouragement category. Keep up the good work! This is just a gentle reminder that those around you need encouragement. So, keep those encouraging words flowing!
