Here you are nearing the end of another year. The past year has had its share of ups and downs. You are grateful for all of God’s blessings on your life this past year, and are glad that some of events of this year are over. Life at times seems to be bittersweet.
Let this past year stay in the past. Now, let’s look forward to a brighter tomorrow. Let’s anticipate a brighter tomorrow; let’s welcome a new year. As you look forward to this next new year, do so with hope for a better year, than the one just gone by. “During the coming year, may you have…enough happiness to keep you sweet; enough trials to keep you strong; enough sorrow to keep you human; enough hope to keep you happy; enough failure to keep you humble; enough success to keep you eager; enough friends to give you comfort; enough faith and courage in yourself, your business, and your country to banish your depression; enough money to meet your needs; enough determination to make each day a better day than yesterday” (Everett Melton Garrett). Keeping that philosophy will guarantee you to have a better coming new year.
In talking about having a good new year, the Scriptures talk about a new year in regards to when Jesus will return to earth. Jesus will come to judge the world and establish His new kingdom. You are reminded about this in Isaiah 13:6, “Wail, for the coming of the Lord is near.” Just know that the Lord Jesus is coming back to earth. This time He comes to judge and reign on earth. So, now is the perfect time to come into a right relationship with Jesus. Accept Him, now, as your Lord and Savior!
The coming new year is right around the corner. Since, the return of Jesus “is near,” accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. If you are a Christian, let this year be your best year yet serving Him!
