How To The Make Right Decisions

There is one thing that you know for sure; life is full of one decision after another.  Not a day goes by that you do not have to make some kind of decision.  Fortunately, most of the decisions you make, on a daily basis, are relatively small decisions.  Most of those you make, you do not even give them a second thought.

Where help and guidance are needed, is when you need to make more important decisions.  You may need to decide where to go to college or graduate school.  A choice of a mate may be needed, or even if marriage is something you should even consider.  What new job, or moving in your job, may occupy your thinking.

“A husband and wife were arguing about an investment the husband wanted to make.  In the midst of it, he pointed out that men had better judgment than women.  ‘Well, I guess you’re right,’ replied the wife, ‘You married me, and I married you’” (Bits & Pieces).  Ha!  Ha!  Depending upon your own thoughts or opinions alone, does not necessitate that you make the right decisions.

How can you make the right decisions?  The path to the right decision must be made by using a resource that is without errors, practical, and easily understandable.  That resource is the Holy Bible.  And, yes, it is easily understandable, if you read it literally.  Just let the Scriptures speak for themselves.  In light of making the right decision, it says, “The lot is cast before the lap, but its very decision is from the Lord” (Proverbs 16:33).  Don’t get hung up on casting lots.  The main point is that when you seek the Lord’s help in making a decision, the Lord will answer you.  You do not receive the right decision, because you are not asking the Lord to show you that decision.

Learn to ask the Lord to show you what to do.  After all, He is just a prayer away!
