There are numerous things that are best expressed in your life by your lifestyle vice verbally affirming. Love is one such characteristic. Yes, it is good to tell someone that you love them, but for those words to really mean something to someone else, requires actions to back the words. Telling someone that you are their friend is another such attribute. Saying to another person that you are their friend only carries meaning you are a friend to them.
Of particular interest, though, is your living the holy life. An unknown author expresses it this way: “Holiness vanishes when you talk about it, but becomes gloriously conspicuous when you live it. “Yes, it is definitely hard to talk about your holiness without others thinking you are being prideful. Yet, if you are silent about being holy and just live it in front of others, they cannot help but notice it.
Scripture sheds some light on you being a person of holy character in 1 Thessalonians 3:13: “so that He may establish your hearts without blame in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints.” This verse exhorts you to live in holiness “without blame.” You are to live your life on earth in such a way that others cannot find fault in your behavior. Your life is to reflect the life of Jesus. This holiness is not to be lived, so that other people will take note, but in such a way that your lifestyle is pleasing to “our Lord Jesus.” Do not be a people pleaser but a God pleaser. This means just living a holy life according to the Scriptures and not for recognition from other people.
You are to live your life to please God and not other people. As you live to please God, just go about your daily routine according to the Word of God. When you live your life unannounced, your holy life then becomes obvious to all!!
