No Place Like Home

No matter how far away you go or how long you stay there, there is no place like home.  It is a place where you can be completely yourself without any fear from others.  Home is your refuge from an uncertain world outside.  These words speak of the ideal home.  Hopefully, this is your home.  Let’s look at how your home can be this kind of home.

A child was given a complex jigsaw puzzle to work. In a short time, the pieces were all put together.  A visiting friend was amazed and asked, “How did you do that so fast?”  “Oh, you see, there is a picture of Jesus on the other side and I just put that one together.”  When the Lord Jesus is given His rightful place in the home, the complexities are adjusted.  Yes, when Jesus is seen in the way family members treat each other, then the home is a great place to live.  Living the Holy Bible before family members makes all the difference in the world, as to the harmony in the home.

The home, mentioned above, is the ideal.  That may not be the type of home you live in.  In fact, the home where you live may just be the opposite of this kind of home.  God wants every person to have a fun, loving, peaceful home.  He desires this for every believer.  Knowing not all homes exhibit these characteristics, He says some comforting words to you, “God makes a home for the lonely” (Ps. 68:6).  When your earthly home leaves much to be desired, find your total fulfillment for a home in the presence of the Lord God.  You can go to Him at any time.  You do not even have to close your eyes; you need to just pray to Him.

It does not matter if your earthly home is full of all the goodness that makes a home enjoyable or not.  What really matters is that you find assurance in your home by allowing the Lord Jesus to be “your” focus in your home.  Yes, there really is no place like home.
