You may feel that your life just now is not working out the way that you planned it to work out. You compare your life to where you thought you would be at this present time, and it falls short of your expectations. Be encouraged, because God is working everything out just the way He planned it.
One key to taking on a positive outlook on life is to realize that life is a journey. Your earthly pilgrimage is in the hands of an all-knowing and all-powerful God. The Lord is accomplishing exactly what He wants to do in your life right now. You have to realize that the Lord is working to bring you to be your very best. You are a work in progress. Antonio, a sculptor, chipped away at a stone and could do nothing with it. Later Michelangelo took it and carved one of the greatest statues of all times, the statue of David. He saw the potential in the stone.
God is not through with you yet. You are like the stone after Antonio tossed it aside. Antonio could not see anything worthwhile in that stone. Possibly, you see nothing in your future to encourage you. The God who gave Michelangelo the ability to see David in that stone, is the same God working your life according to His timetable.
God speaks these same words to you in the Holy Bible in Philippians 1:6, “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” Yes, Jesus is working something beautiful and positive in your life right now. Notice, Christ’s work continues every day of your life until the end of your life.
You do not lose heart because of some hopeful dream, but because Jesus is working right now in your life. He is molding and perfecting you into the diamond He wants you to be. Just remember, the finished jewel that God makes is priceless. Now, that is something to get excited about!
