You want to live your life to the fullest. Your desire is to seize life by the throat and make every minute count. Squeezing every ounce of every moment yields the gusto in life that is desired. After all, life is too short not to get the most of it while you can.
This boils down to making the best of every opportunity that comes your way. William Arthur Ward states this principle as he says, “Recognize your responsibilities and you will see your opportunities.” This means, as you are made aware of your responsibilities and actually accomplish them, then you will realize that you are accomplishing your opportunities that come your way.
Scripture sheds some light on this in Galatians 6:10, “So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.” This commands believers to first and foremost make every opportunity something that you do not let pass by. You are to act on every opportunity that God places before you. The way you are to act is to “do good.” Seize every opportunity and make sure that you do something good in that situation for the glory of God. Notice, to whom you are to do good. First, to “all people.” That means to do something good to everyone, both the believer and the unbeliever. Second, notice the priority. You are to do good first to Christians and then to unbelievers. Scripture emphasized over and over again that believers are to meet the needs of believers first and foremost.
To make the most of your time while here on earth requires you to make the most of every opportunity you have to do good, and to do that good first to the believer and then to the unbeliever. In summary, seize every moment you have to do something good for someone else.
